Rules:
GENERAL:
This tournament shall be sanctioned by, played
under the General Playing Rules
of and be open to all members of the B.T.B.A.
Players must produce a current, valid membership
card at registration.
Juniors may participate, provided they are in
possession of a J/A Card.
TOURNAMENT MANAGER:
The Tournament Manager shall be Keith Boyden,
whose word, subject to appeal to the B.T.B.A.,
shall be law.
The aforementioned reserves the right to refuse
or re-rate any entry, at any time, for any,
or indeed no, reason.
AVERAGES:
Players must declare their highest current
league or tournament average over a minimum of
18 games.
Documentary evidence must be provided and
averages will be checked at random.
Handicap will be based on 80% of the difference
between
entering average and 210 with no maximum. A
separate scratch section will be available.
COST:
The entry cost shall be £85.00 per team of four
players.
Costs apportioned thus: Lineage £45.60, Team
England 80p, Food Contribution £5.00,
Prize Fund, returned 100%, £33.60.
An optional section in each division will be
available for an extra £20 per team.
FORMAT: All team members will bowl six games,
three games in the Team Division
and three games in either Singles OR Doubles.
Team Captains must nominate which players will
compete in Singles and Doubles.
Prizes will be awarded for the highest scores
with handicap in four divisions:
Singles, Doubles, Four Person Team and Overall
Team (All bowlers six game scores combined).
TIE BREAKS:
SINGLES, DOUBLES and TEAM: In the event that
handicap scores are tied after three games, the
following
shall apply: Highest SCRATCH score takes
preference. If still tied: Highest 3rd game, if
still tied,
Highest 2nd, if still tied highest 1st game. If
still tied, the prize for those places will be
divided equally.
OVERALL TEAM: In the event that handicap scores
are tied after three games, the following
shall apply: Highest SCRATCH score takes
preference. If still tied: Highest TEAM 3rd
game, if still tied,
Highest team 2nd, if still tied highest team 1st
game.
If still tied, the prize for those places will
be divided equally.
DISPUTES:
If a dispute regarding pinfall cannot be
resolved quickly, a provisional ball must be
bowled.
All complaints must be made to the tournament
manager verbally at the end of the games in
question
and confirmed in writing before the end of the
tournament.
DRESS CODE:
This is a sanctioned tournament, NO JEANS.
